Lately I have been hearing commercials on the radio about “Nutrition Assistance.†Now to me a program called “Nutrition Assistance†would be like the W.I.C program. Where you have certain healthy foods you can use vouchers for, for pregnant women and children. Because the foods they want you to buy are good, wholesome, nutrition packed foods. So yes the W.I.C program should be “Nutrition Assistance.â€
I do NOT mind people using the W.I.C program, it is a good program and I feel it does do what it was intended to do for low income families. I admit I used W.I.C for my kidlets.
Now this commercial is for “Nutrition Assistance†program which is a government program, formerly known as Food Stamps. This program to me grates every nerve in my damn body. It is nothing but a taxpayer’s cesspool of fraud and abuse. I would have to estimate only about 1/4 of people who receive food stamps use them in a good steward fashion and actually feed their families well with them. The rest are nothing but lazy, crackwhore infested, kid hatching, drunk, assholes who abuse the system.
Now taking my kids to a store and buying them a treat is a luxury. Because I like some people are on a budget. Treats are a luxury not necessity. Continue Reading…

I got a call from the republican National Committee today. I admit in the 2004 elections I was quite active with the Republican Party. The first 4 years of the Republicans in 2000-2004 were awesome. They took care of business, lead this nation, and kicked some ass. This time around they have changed for the worse. I am plain disgusted and ashamed. And quite frankly pissed.
I have been looking into the Libertarian party more and more lately. Seems the Independent party is more conservative, less power driven, cheating, self-ego agenda, non-socialist, political corrected, party out there. They believe in free enterprise and competition, hard work, and not taxing you to death.
So the RNC called me and wanted me to make a $90.00 donation. This for me is quite steep. I said I didn’t think so because I have not seen the Republicans do anything worth a shit in the last 3 years that has impressed me and NOT piss me off. She came back with “Do you want to see Nanci Pelosi in the White House or Hillary Clinton?”.. I said “oh god no”.. I said if the Repubs keep it up that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Many Americans are degusted at the bullshit. Not one Repub has stood up and faced these liberals and called them on the carpet, nor took a stance on conservatism. She rebutted me 3 times and said “I suppose that a $45.00 is out of the question? My answer?
“Just take my $90.00 donation out of the pork infested defense bill passed yesterday which at the end of the bill added millions for the presidential committees”… I swear my patience has worn thin lately with these people. Like everything will miraculously change in 2008? .. I’ll bet my next tax refund check it will (like I will be getting one of those)

A good story on Call for blogging code of conduct. I am up in the air on it. I am not sure that we need this. People will be assholes with or with out it.
S at the park on Monday it was over 75F outside and she enjoyed being at the park. It was good to get out. I got to forget about worries for a few hours. It was short lived. Today I got the worst news and it is such a mess. I put in for a child support modification a few months ago and the results I got back made me want to pass out. I did not gain anything but an extra $400mo insurance bill. My ex-husband did not disclose any of his income and they made a ruling still. I can not afford $400mo alone for my daughters insurance and the insurance he has her on is shit. This means I have to get her on my health insurance so she is covered and go back at them with another modification. It is not fair his child support is BELOW guidelines and I have to pay all her health insurance.
I am so bitchy.
