Mexican Protests

I log on to cnn.com when I wake up today to see a picture of the march of Mexicans. The march to demand that illegal aliens get treated better. A man is wearing a Mexican flag colored coat that says “Mexico” on it as he marches. There is a sign behind him being held that says “We need health care”. At least this time I see more American flags being shown were as before it was all about Mexico.
The cnn article is unbelievable. Let’s pick this apart there. I am going to be looking at this article right here.
All quotes are from the CNN story and all unquoted material added by myself.
Melissa Woo, a 22-year-old American citizen who immigrated from South Korea, carried a Korean flag over her shoulder joined a Chicago crowd estimated by police at 20,000 in as she criticized politicians for “buckling at the knees.”
“Us immigrants aren’t pieces of trash, we’re human beings,” she said. “To be treated as less than human is a travesty.”
I seriously doubt that Ms. Melissa Woo jumped a border. In fact she is a an American citizen. She obviously did it the right way and wow look she is a citizen and she is treated like trash being a citizen? Amazing. Glad to see were her pride is.
Yet stepped-up raids in recent months have left many immigrants afraid to speak out in public — a major change over rallies in 2006 when some illegal immigrants wore T-shirts saying “I’m illegal. So what?”
“The raids are intended to terrorize people and make President Bush look tough,” said Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. “But they are not a solution.”
Terrorize people? Holding CRIMINALS accountable for their actions is terrorizing people? Oh yes Americans you are suppose to turn your back and instead of holding these people accountable to our laws you should be holding their hand. You turn your back to the crime and hold your hand out and support them for being a criminal. I don’t care how you want to polish this, it is a crime. I am sick and tired of the huge strain on our health care system, school system and the constant strain on good Americans that are working their asses off and these criminals steal their social security numbers.
I’m not racist. I am realistic and know there are healthy limits and the amount of illegals is not healthy in our country. They come into our country as a criminal and demand health care? I feel as a American I am being slapped in the face and the more these people are asking us to take care of them when they had no regard for my countries laws and regulations. They had no respect for my country and now they demand things?
“Recent raids have worried me,” he said. “We worry deportations are leaving too many young people without parents.”
You knew that risk coming into our country as a criminal. You knew when you had your children and built your life here you were illegal. However, when you are held accountable to your actions it is damn American for leaving children with out parents. I think the real problem is the parents in the first place that put their children in these positions. I am as a parent held responsible for choice I make. I do not break the law and risk being locked up away from my child. It is common sense.
“We want just reform,” said Mayela Ruiz, an illegal immigrant. “I’ve been here 15 years. I’ve worked hard, paid my taxes. I’ve had no problems with the law and I’m afraid to leave my house. I want a law that would allow me to work and live in freedom but not like a slave.”
No problems with the law? He broke the law by being here when he shouldn’t be.
That plan would grant illegal immigrants three-year work visas for $3,500 but also require them to return home to apply for U.S. residency and pay a $10,000 fine. It has been roundly criticized by immigrant groups.
Oh yes I know. That $13,500 is such a huge burden. It is a small token of evaded taxes. It boils down to them having to be accountable and well folks whenever that is brought up it is the work of the devil us damn Americans. They should not have to pay like you or I. They just should not be accountable and remember that.

I live in a small southern Minnesota town and my wife is a human resource worker for the county we live in. You should here some of her stories. Also its a requirement for my elementary aged kids to learn some spanish.
That is messed up! Hear about Rudy G?
“Giuliani outlined elements of his approach toward immigration during a speech at the Latino Coalition’s Small Business Economic Summit in Washington yesterday, the same day pro-immigration groups held marches around the country.”
