I had a blast yesterday. A lady I work with was in town babysitting a 8yr old girl and we had planned to go down to Omaha to the Zoo down there. It is a 3hr drive and well worth it. We left early and got down there early so we could spend the entire day at the zoo until it closed. S and the other girl had a blast as well as both us ladies. We took tons of pictures and I plan to make a picture book for the girls of their zoo trip.
Pictures will be posted a lil later. I am just now getting them all onto the computer.
We also went to the IMAX theater and watched Deep Sea 3D. All I can say is wow. Words can not even come close to saying anything close to what you see unless you have seen IMAX in 3D. I felt like I had these sea creatures swimming around me, over me, beside me. I felt as if I was sitting on the bottom of the ocean and that I could reach out and feel. It brings a whole new meaning to things coming off the screen. It was amazing.
The image quality and definition were out of this world. Just amazing. S was freaked out and I had to keep telling her it was not real and she thought the things were really swimming around her and they were coming out of the screen. lol I had to keep telling her it was a trick on her eyes. She did settle down and enjoyed it. We both love fish so it was nice for us.

I am around. Just have been so busy. We adopted some new fish. The above picture was our “mystery” fish. I knew when I bought him he was a type of Bullhead (I love those) and we are pretty sure he is a Spotted Bullhead but he is so small only time will tell. The markings are key and he is such a baby it is hard to tell. He was in a shipment of ghost shrimp. They had two of them and had no idea what they were. One employee took one home and I grabbed this one. They get to about 11″ so that is not bad at all. He is only about an inch right now. hehe so cute. He is in the 10gl tank with Bubbles (the Betta) until he grows big enough to be safe in the 55gl with the bigger cats I have. Continue Reading…

S is growing up! Here are a few pictures of her. I took the at her request and looking at them I find myself saying “wow where is my little girl” She is growing up so fast now. She is getting so tall and all legs. I will post one more pic at the end of this post too. She is 7yrs old and I guess it is just hitting me how much she is growing up. I know the pink hair doesn’t help. It is summer so I let her use some spray in pink hair color. She loves it.
She never stops amazing me. She is reading like crazy and smart mouthed as ever. Several times a day she says something that I drop my mouth open and look at her and she always in her high pitched voice says “WHAT?” Her vocabulary and how she talks just floors me! Yesterday she wanted ice cream. I got her some.
“Mom where is my spoon? It’s (ice cream) not gonna eat itself!”
