Debt

I have been swimming in debt for umm since 2002. It has built and built and all I could do was shuffle money and shuffle debt. It got to a point that at times I stopped paying on it and didn’t care. Most of it is medical debt but I also some student loans, my car and a few unsecured loans. I am not a credit card kind of person, that part I am proud of. I never thought I could ever own a home.

Things lately have been looking up and I am starting to feel like I can see light at the end of this long dark tunnel that has consumed me fore so long. I had two judgments as well from medical bills. I paid those off in the last two weeks.

I am also working on getting a house. I am picky though so this may take awhile. I know what I want, it is just not easy to find. I want a old pre 1900 two story house. I will find out in two weeks if I am approved, and I should be.

Since the middle of August I have done the following, totaling a lot of money several thousand. lol

1) Paid off two judgments
2) Paid every bad medical bill on my credit report
3) Paid on several medical bills that are not on my credit report
4) Paid some medical bills off
5) Paid off two unsecured loans
6) Paid down my credit card that I do have $300 one.

I am far from done. I still have

1) $2500 at one collection agency (medical) - Use to be over $6k
2) $800 at another collection agency (medical) - Use to be over $2k
3) $800 at yet another collection agency (medical) - Use to be over $3k
4) $16k car debt
5) $26k student loan debt
6) $1000 in utility debt from my divorce on my credit report I need to pay.

It is a lot but I tell you what, I can get through it. 1,2,3,6 are first. I am going to hit my loans hard. A few weddings and I can hae those all paid but my loans.

I am also in the works of a lot more things that I can not talk about right now, legal matters. I have a lawyer and this is going to be a fight, but we are up for it. I can’t wait.
